Louvers - Our First Product!

Keith Parker behind the wheel again, but this time it's a kart....on dirt! AGT driver Keith Parker accepted the invitation of Trevor Hillar, manufacturer of the turf kart or tkart to travel to Essex Connitcut on the Sunday of the Rolex GT weekend at Lime Rock Park to participate in the Grasspass Pro/Am.

"LRP is not allowed to race on Sundays by ordinance and this is a great way to spend the off day", stated Parker. The day included a 1 hour enduro featuring the racers from Lime Rock teamed with the local kart owners, complete with LeMans start, driver change, with sprint races , plus a pig roast afterwards.

"Not having the car ready for LRP was a disapointment, but this certainly made up for it. I came to have fun and that I did", the AGT driver went on to say. "Although it was somewhat humbling to be passed by midgets, kids and a girl, given my size and the size of my teammates (so christened "Team Heavyweight") in a 6 1/2 hp kart we weren't going to vie for the win, but we didn't finish last and no cars not running at the end beat us".

Special thanks to Team Heavyweight teammates, Terry Klieman and Bob DeKett and to Trevor Hillar for hosting a first class event. Also a tip of the hat to Andy Lally for co-driving to the enduro win on Sunday and the win back at LRP on Monday.

Parkeracing pushes ahead with plans...

The rebuild of the White #86 into the Blue C4 GSR (4th Gen. Corvette Grand Sport Racer) #96 intensifies as we get closer to completion. Areas to be addressed include new (larger) wheels 16X13 rear and 16X12 front as opposed to the 15X10s all the way around. Initially a wide 5 style was chosen but ultimately a five on 4 3/4 bolt pattern was decided upon. You can purchase the 15X10s or the 16" wide fives in the For Sale Section.

Electronic ignition gets a boost from 2 MSD6ALs and coils in the T/A type tray replacing a single MSD6A.

Our new motor is sitting on the shop floor ready to install (1 of 3). We finally will have one motor in the car, one in the trailer and one at the builder. All feature 23° aluminum heads with angle plugs, roller cam, rev kit, 3 stage dry sump, Victor Jr. manifold, roller rockers, HEI distributor and dedicated carb. Displacement varies from 331 to 355. Compression is either 12.5:1 or 13.8:1. Horsepower ranges from 550-600.

The Jerico 4 speed is out for a rebuild. The steel drive shaft and half shafts have been replaced by carbon fiber units from Van Steel.

The rear differential now gets it's own cooling system, driven by one of the two stages in the transmission tailshaft. We also now have multiple ratios available to bolt right in.

The fuel cell has gotten new internals.

A new sprint car style window net is on the drivers right and new seat belts are coming soon (the last thing to be installed).

A new steering wheel with built in push to talk buttons has been installed. And a new Bell helmet with headset and boom mike have been delivered.

By far the most noticeable change is to the body as we change from early to late C4 bodywork, cleaning up the aerodynamics in the process. New rear bumper cover has been integrated into the rear clip. Side skirts now cover the exhaust along the doors and side gills. The nose is the next project to be tackled by S&G Composites, the wing will be here shortly. Our first product, louvers, are being integrated over the wheels mounted flush and are available in the Merchandise section.
